Steppenwolf co-founder and actor Gary Sinise will perform with his Lt. Dan Band at Steppenwolf's upcoming Gala 2014.

Steppenwolf Theatre Company will join more than 600 members of Chicago’s corporate, civic and cultural communities for the company’s Gala 2014 on Saturday, May 3, 2014. This year, Steppenwolf’s premier fundraising event will take place entirely on the theater’s North Halsted campus, offering guests the unique opportunity to connect with Steppenwolf artists in their artistic home while enjoying theatrical entertainment, cocktails, a gourmet dinner, music and dancing with Gary Sinise and his Lt. Dan Band. Guests will also have an opportunity to bid on once-in-a-lifetime auction items, not the least of which include an onset visit to the hit CBS drama Elementary and lunch with ensemble member Jon Michael Hill – along with other special behind-the-scenes access to a few of today’s hottest TV shows.

The gala kicks off at Steppenwolf Theatre Company with a showcase of scenes from Steppenwolf’s world-premiere production of The Way West by Mona Mansour, directed by ensemble member Amy Morton. After a lavish cocktail reception, a gourmet dinner prepared by Limelight Catering, and the annual live auction, the festivities continue into the evening with music from Steppenwolf co-founder Gary Sinise and his Lt. Dan Band.

Single tickets start at $1,000 and tables for Gala 2014 are currently available by contacting Steppenwolf’s Special Events Department at 312-654-5632 or The annual gala benefit raises $1 million for Steppenwolf’s artistic, educational and community programming.
