Next spring, Giordano Dance Chicago (GDC) will debut a new, full-company work choreographed by Autumn Eckman, GDC assistant artistic director and resident choreographer, at GDC’s Spring 2014 engagement at the Harris Theater in Millennium Park. The performance takes place March 28-29, 2014. The new work will be performed to live, a cappella music sung by Chicago’s Bella Voce. The music will include Eric Whitacre’s “Cloudburst” and another work by the composer to be determined. For tickets call 312-334-7777 or visit www.HarrisTheaterChicago.org. The program is partially supported by a grant from the Illinois Arts Council.

Immediately following the March 29th performance will be GDC’s Spring Gala on the Pritzker Stage, adjacent to The Harris. GDC dancers will join artistic director Nan Giordano, executive director Michael McStraw and gala guests in a celebration to support the company and its outreach programs. Ticket prices will be announced and go on sale at a later date. For more information, visit www.giordanodance.org or call 312-922-1332.
