Mesirow Financial will join forces with Cedille Records, Chicago’s Grammy-winning non-profit recording label, to kick off the 2015 Mesirow Financial Presents! season. The evening celebrates “Chicago Treasures,” featuring performances by celebrated concert pianist Jorge Federico Osorio, among other Chicago artists.
Osorio, an internationally acclaimed pianist, has performed with the world’s leading orchestras and conductors. He has won several international prizes and received numerous awards, including the prestigious Medalla Bellas Artes, the highest honor granted by Mexico’s National Institute of Fine Arts. Mr. Osorio will perform selections from his latest Cedille Records release as well as other works by Mexican and Spanish composers.
“The idea behind the Mesirow Financial Presents! program originated from our relationship with Cedille Records. Through showcasing the great work of this important non-profit, we are proud to have come full circle. I can’t think of a better way to celebrate the program than hosting this impressive concert to benefit the work of Cedille Chicago,” said Richard Mesirow, senior managing director at Mesirow Financial and member of the Mesirow Financial Fine Arts Committee.
In the 25 years since its founding, Cedille Records has released over 150 recordings featuring more than 100 artists.
Tickets to “Chicago Treasures” are available for $100 and can be purchased by visiting http://cedillerecords.org or calling 773.989.2515. All proceeds benefit Cedille Records.
