City Winery Chicago announced that headliners Paula Cole (September 10) and Shaun Mullins (October 26) will return to the venue this fall, adding considerably to Chicago’s growing illustrious folk music calendar. City Winery is Chicago’s only a fully operational winery, restaurant and concert hall venue.
Atlanta-based singer-songwriter and bandleader Shawn Mullins will return with selections from Light You Up, a truly captivating new song cycle that’s nothing short of a revelation even for Mullins’ most fervent fans. Along with his first #1 single, “Lullaby,” guests will enjoy the Americana chart-topper, “Beautiful Wreck,” making for one of the most anticipated folk and Americana concerts this fall.
Singer-songwriter-multi-instrumentalist Paula Cole (“I Don’t Want to Wait,” “Where Have All the Cowboys Gone?”) will bring artistic insights from six solo albums spanning an 18-year career as one of the top folk artists on the circuit. Cole has performed with musical icons from Peter Gabriel to Dolly Parton. As the first woman in history to solely produce and receive the best Producer Grammy nomination for her album, This Fire, Cole has broken boundaries with a searcher’s spirit. From her top ten hits of the ’90s to her more recent critically acclaimed albums, she continues to write, produce, record and perform heartfelt, meaningful, lasting music that defies categorization.
