York Furrier Fundraiser Raises $10K for Haymarket Center Programs and Initiatives

Earlier in the fall, Elmhurst’s York Furrier, Inc. (YF) celebrated their 88th Anniversary with a benefit for Haymarket Center, a non-profit organization that assists people with substance use disorders. Guests of the event sipped champagne, wine and sparkling water and nibbled on hors d’oeuvres and a delicious dessert buffet created by Chef Debbie Detrick of Cloudberry Catering. Some enjoyed informal modeling, trying-on furs, fine outerwear and accessories from the YF Collection, and purchased Grand and Regular Raffle tickets for an array of packages – including an in-home chef prepared dinner for six, tickets to Lyric Opera 2019-2020 productions, Bulls tickets, a Tannin’s wine tasting experience, a $1,000.00 York Furrier, Inc. shopping spree, and much, much more. Clef Notes Journal served as the media sponsor for the event.

The evening’s speakers included Clef Notes’ managing director, David Henley, Haymarket Center Vice President of Development, Sam Provenzano, Haymarket President and CEO Dr. Dan Lustig and Haymarket Center Board Chair The Honorable Lee A. Daniels.

As guests departed, they received a luxe York Furrier Swag Bag with goodies from local sponsors and a signature York Peppermint Pattie, along with a fox fur key chain/purse charm from York Furrier, Inc. The event generated $10,000 to assist Haymarket Center with their numerous programs that help save and change lives. Donations are still being accepted at
